Product update: actions, meeting summary email & more

It’s been another big month at Connect4 HQ — since our last update we’ve published loads of new updates. Here’s a quick round-up.

1. Twelve people per pod

We’ve increased the maximum number of people per pod to twelve (from nine) in order to better cater for larger teams both internally and externally.

2. My actions

We’ve made some further upgrades to actions items, following on from our introduction of this new feature last month. You can now view all of your items in one handy area. Just click on your avatar in the top right corner and select my actions.

3. Notification feed

Connect4’s notification feed has been due an overhaul for some time. Not only does it look a lot nicer now but you’ll also see a little pink dot in the top right corner notifying you when new items come in.

Upgraded notification feed

We’re going to continue to expand the notification feed in the coming weeks and months to include:

  • Notifying you and your clients when new actions and resources are added.
  • Reminders to complete meeting notes and agendas.
  • Insights into how well your pods are performing.

4. Post meeting email summary upgrade

A huge part of running successful meetings that get stuff done is making sure that your post-meeting workflow is effective. This means making clear and concise meeting notes and setting actions for necessary parties. It also means communicating these things effectively!

We know that lots of our customers are dependent upon email for some of their communications so with this release we’ve upgraded what you’ll see in your meeting summary email.

In addition to a personal message, you can also choose to include your meeting notes in full, as well as any outstanding actions.

5. Restore the meeting’s last agenda

In addition to our template agendas you can now easily restore (and adapt) your most recently used agenda in that pod. Handy if you often follow a similar agenda in certain pods.

6. Delete past meetings

A necessary bit of housekeeping. You can now delete meetings that you scheduled and that never actually happened, for whatever reason.

7. Outlook calendar pre-populates with pod members

When you add a Connect4 meeting to your calendar in Outlook desktop you’ll now have a similar experience to Google Calendar — pod members will be pre-populated in the calendar invite so that you don’t have to manually add everyone’s name.

8. Example pod for new users

For new sign-ups we’ve introduced a new default pod to help you get started even quicker. We’ve packed the pod full of resources and examples of how to get the most out of Connect4.

And more!

As usual there have been a raft of other updates, ranging from user interface improvements to small bug fixes and performance upgrades.

As always, please don’t hesitate to contact [email protected] to let us know what features you’re hoping to see in the coming months.
