Connect4 is an exciting UK SaaS start-up. We’re revolutionising online client communications. Our video meeting productivity tools let businesses provide the ultimate client experience.

We have paying customers, secured further funding and our CTO is now looking for a Tech Lead to help us scale.

The Role

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Developer to join our startup working directly with our CTO and Co-Founder to solve some exciting and challenging real-time video and collaboration problems.

Experience

• Building products and/or systems from the ground up
• Conduct code reviews, evolve coding standards as required, and emphasize code quality.
• Hiring, mentoring and training junior engineers
• Making pragmatic decisions in a high-paced/uncertain environment
• Demonstrated competence in “empathising” with the user and being the proponent for user experience in product development.
• At least 3 years experience as an engineering manager, with responsibility of managing an engineering team that was focused on web-based user interfaces.

Technical Experience

Front-end

• 4+ years professional development experience
• JavaScript / Typescript
• Blaze / ReactJS (nice to have)
• CSS / SCSS / Bootstrap skill (nice to have)
• Experience in developing mobile applications using React Native would be a strong plus

Full-stack

• MeteorJS (nice to have)

Back-end

• NodeJS (or other server-side languages)
• MongoDB (other DB technologies useful)
• WebRTC / Twilio Programmable Video API (nice to have)
• AWS + PaaS deployment experience (we use Heroku)

Tooling

• Unit testing, E2E testing in Cypress
• Git / CI / CD
• Code quality tools such as eslint / jshint
