Product update: collaborative agendas + pop-out screen share

We’ve seen record breaking numbers successfully join client meetings on Connect4 this September. Development of the platform hasn’t stopped either, with a bunch of new updates released this month. Here’s a round-up of what’s new this month.

1. Suggest a talking point

Creating a great agenda should be a collaborative effort, with each party able to suggest items that they need to speak about. This couldn’t be more important than when working directly with clients, who should have a strong input into what needs to be discussed each meeting.

Anybody who is invited into a pod can now suggest an agenda talking point from the main agenda screen. This upon clicking ‘Send suggestion’ the talking point is added to the bottom of the current agenda. From here, anybody who has edit access to the agenda (ie. the pod captain and any team members) can rearrange the agenda item to place it where they see fit.

2. Header update

Anyone who’s been on the platform in the past few weeks will have noticed that we’ve redesigned the top header bar to make it easier to use. On the main pod overview, you’ll find it easier to access actions and meeting insights.

Change camera/microphone settings during a meeting

Once you’ve connected to a meeting, you’ll see a new ‘Settings’ button in the top navigation bar.  Clicking this will open up a window where you can switch camera and microphone settings to your heart’s content — all without leaving your meeting.

Connect4

Did you know? Fancy video backgrounds work really well with Connect4 through the likes of mmhmm and Snap Camera. Just change your camera settings to the relevant app and you’re away!

3. No more slacking! (don’t forget to take meeting notes)

We don’t need to remind you of the importance of taking clear and concise meeting notes… but we will anyway. To ensure that notes are accurate and not distorted by a busy brain, it’s often best to take some form of note during the meeting — even if it’s just a sentence or two.

If, for whatever reason, you or your teammates forget — the designated editor will now see a handy reminder during the meeting! No more blank pages.

4. Copy meeting notes

Most of our customers use Connect4 alongside a CRM, such as HubSpot or a practice management system such as Karbon and Pixie

We’re currently working on some nice integrations to talk directly to certain systems, but in the meantime we’ve added an easy way to simply copy all of your meeting notes so that you can paste them wherever you like.

5. Pop-out screen share

Last month we added a button to allow you use ‘picture-in-picture’ mode on an individual video screen. This month, we’ve added similar functionality to the screen share window.

Anyone viewing a screen share can now click the button in the top right corner to ‘pop-out’ and minimise the screen, allowing you to resize and reposition wherever you wish. This is especially handy if you want to view everyone’s face at the same time as viewing the screen share.

6. Latest resources

Finally, we added a little notifier to make it easier to spot when people add new resources during a meeting (no more “which document is it you added again?!”).

Onward and upwards

Please continue to get in touch at [email protected] with any new feature ideas (however weird they are!). And don’t forget to sign-up to our newsletter to keep abreast of all new updates on the Connect4 platform. See you next time! 😉
